I trained as an engineering toolmaker for 5/6 years but unfortunately at the end was made redundant, so I do know what it's like! After a short period of unemployment I started as a van driver for the then firm of Bailiffs Madagans.

I was quickly promoted to Bailiff and worked my way up to be Managing Director of D-Lights Transport Limited and Crowden Limited (Auctions in Situ) both subsidiary company's of Madagans.

All of these experiences led me to have the knowledge, experience and confidence to set up

G J Wisdom & Co, Auctioneers and Valuers in October 1987.

Since my first valuation of a back street cafe in Hackney (that I was never paid for), I have been completing valuations, sales and logistics in all manner of industry and business for all manner of clients from HM Revenue & Customs, Insolvency Practitioners, Bailiffs, Finance Companies, Corporate business as well as a number of some of the UK's largest Auction company's .

Sales have included entire factories of engineering machine tools, woodworking factories and workshops, glass and glazing factories, large commercial bakeries and food processing plants and just about every other manufacturing business around.

I have sold boats, planes (but to date no trains).

Over the years there have been countless shops, pubs and restaurants in the retail sector as well as probably most service industry offices of Solicitors and Accountants. There have been Cash & Carry Importers, Exporters and host of others that I simply cannot remember.
